Dry, Red, Cabernet Sauvignon, Agiorgitiko
Elegant and warm - rich, dense, deep red, aromas of black fruit, vanilla, toasted bread, chocolate and spices.
Type of wine: Dry Red Wine
Appellation: Protected Geographical Indication Attica
Vinification: Ages for 18 months in French oak barrels 50% new. It is unfiltered so there may be sediment in the bottled. Decanting is recommended.
Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 90%, Agiorgitiko 10%
Tasting Notes: Agiorgitiko softens the intensity of the Cabernet Sauvignon but leaves intact its basic characteristics as they are expressed through the influence of the Attica terroir. Dense, deep red. Concentrated, multilayered presence, dominated by the aromas of black fruit, vanilla, toasted bread, chocolate and spices. Fleshy, well structured with firm but elegant tannins and abundant ripe fruit. Warm and generous, it retains an enviable balance completed by the long, spice finish.
Ageing: At least 15-20 years from harvest.
Pairing: Loves red meat and especially lamb in almost all its versions. Try it also with slow cooked beef, steak and roast duck.
Allergen declaration: Contains sulphites
